When Ezra Crabtree talks about the way things were “back in ’06,” he’s not talking about 2006! Ezra has been around a long time and has seen “fads, fashions and folderol come and go” – and he doesn’t like any of it! The only good times were “back in the old days when children respected their elders and women didn’t wear pants!” Let Ezra take you back to days of “hard work and doing without,” or so he says. His memory is a bit lacking in some areas, but his pronouncements are absolute; his eyesight isn’t what it used to be, but he sees what he wants to see; his hearing is fading and he might ask you to repeat yourself, but don’t ask him to do the same! Adults and children alike – “young whippersnappers” he calls them - connect with this lovable old curmudgeon when he relates stories and happenings of his life and paints a picture of “the good old days.”
